SharePoint Audit Policy: Check In/Check Out

These audit flags correspond to the "Checking out or checking in items" check box on the "Site collection audit settings" page in Site Collection Administration.

These 2 audit flags, CheckIn and CheckOut, allow you to track when users check out and check in documents from a document library.
