I am trying to get a vendor to comply and use an AD Service account, but at the present time, a critical application server was previously setup with a local account as a application level service account. The account is not a member of the Local Admins or Local Users.
The account becomes disabled on occasion which causes some considerable concern.
I could not detect any 4725 errors in the Security Log, since it was recently over written.
Is there any way I can determine what is causing this local account to become disabled.
Thank you.

If the logs are getting rolled over then it will be tough to diagnose. I would increase the log size or store the logs in another system. To diagnose this system I would first check the 4725 event and identify the subject that is disabling the account.
