I was recently asked a question about the password expiration date attribute for a user account.  The question was if that attribute could be modified on a user by user basis to cause some user accounts to begin the password expiration notice earlier than their normal 90 day cycle.  My response was uhhhh... I don't think so, but I said I would ask around....

do you actually want different users to have different maximum password ages or you just want to give some users a warning sooner.  I don't really understand what you are trying to accomplish.  Changing this attribute isn't the way.  To have different maximum password ages you need need to implement granular password policies.  see

To just display the warning earlier see PasswordExpiryWarning value under Winlogon in the registry
