I was recently asked a question about the password expiration date attribute for a user account.  The question was if that attribute could be modified on a user by user basis to cause some user accounts to begin the password expiration notice earlier than their normal 90 day cycle.  My response was uhhhh... I don't think so, but I said I would ask around....

do you actually want different users to have different maximum password ages or you just want to give some users a warning sooner.  I don't really understand what you are trying to accomplish.  Changing this attribute isn't the way.  To have different maximum password ages you need need to implement granular password policies.  see https://www.ultimatewindowssecurity.com/wiki/WindowsSecuritySettings/-Fine-Grained-Password-and-Lockout-Policy

To just display the warning earlier see PasswordExpiryWarning value under Winlogon in the registry
