We are using Windows Event Collector and collecting only a handful of Event IDs. Our event collector is running Server 2012 R2. If I view the event from the client it is OK. If I view the event on the collector server, the message text of the 4688 is corrupt (message indicating corruption and we have only the values, no tags).

We initially believed it was all clients but upon further investigation, it appears the vast majority are running Windows 10. Is anyone aware of a fix? Server 2016 is not yet available.

Thanks in advance!

Is the data corrupted in the details portion of the "Friendly View" or "XML View"?

I haven't seen that before. I would open a ticket with MS for that one.

Yep. Opened a ticket with MS. They were no help, at all. All the suggestions were freely available on the internet and did not work. Server 2016 was released officially, so we tried that. It works. Only problem, most of our other applications are not officially supported.
